Institute of Unmanned Systems Technology Launches “Learn from Lei Feng Volunteer Service Month” Activities

2026.03.30

To deeply study and implement the Lei Feng spirit and actively respond to the call of the university Youth League Committee, in March 2026, the Institute of Unmanned Systems Technology organized a series of “Youth Volunteer Action, Striving for the ‘15th Five-Year Plan’” Lei Feng Volunteer Service Month activities for all Youth League members. The activities covered 6 Youth League branches, with a cumulative participation of 118 volunteers and a total volunteer service duration of 210 hours, creating a strong volunteer service atmosphere throughout the institute.

This series of activities adhered to the organizational approach of “learning-led + practical education + collaborative construction.” Centered on the theme “Inheriting the Lei Feng Spirit, Fulfilling Youth Mission,” through various forms such as thematic studies, volunteer services, and Party-Youth League joint construction, it guided young students to integrate the Lei Feng spirit into their scientific research, studies, and daily practices, continuously strengthening their sense of responsibility and mission.

In terms of theoretical learning, each Youth League branch systematically studied Comrade Lei Feng’s advanced deeds through thematic lectures, discussions, and sharing of exemplary cases, and deeply expounded on the contemporary connotations of the Lei Feng spirit. Youth League members, combining their professional backgrounds and personal growth, discussed practical pathways for the Lei Feng spirit in the new era, further strengthening their ideals and beliefs, and enhancing ideological identification.

In terms of practical services, each branch closely integrated with campus realities and the needs of faculty and students, extensively carrying out volunteer service activities. Volunteers entered teaching and research offices to organize the environment and maintain equipment, went to the campus and faculty/staff living areas for sanitation cleaning and order maintenance, and carried out service actions such as “Doing practical things for classmates.” While improving the campus environment, they effectively addressed students’ practical difficulties, interpreting the Lei Feng spirit through concrete actions.

In terms of organizational collaboration, the Third and Fourth Youth League branches collaborated with the Student Party Branch to carry out Party-Youth League joint volunteer services, encouraging Youth League members to participate through the exemplary leadership of Party members, further enhancing organizational cohesion and educational effectiveness, and achieving an organic unity of ideological guidance and practical training.

Through the implementation of this series of activities, young Youth League members of the institute gained a deeper understanding of the Lei Feng spirit, their awareness of volunteer service significantly increased, and their pioneering and exemplary roles were effectively demonstrated. The activities not only improved the quality of the campus environment but also fostered a positive ethos of valuing virtue, doing good, and serving others throughout the institute.

Next, the Institute of Unmanned Systems Technology will continue to normalize and institutionalize Lei Feng learning activities, actively explore the construction of a “learning + practice + inheritance” volunteer service system, promote the deep integration of volunteer service with professional training, guide young students to hone their skills and talents through serving society, and contribute their youthful strength to the “15th Five-Year Plan” with concrete actions.
