School of Artificial Intelligence / Institute of Unmanned Systems Technology Holds NSFC Writing Coaching Session

2026.01.30

To improve the quality of faculty applications for National Natural Science Foundation projects and strengthen the application foundation, a one-on-one special coaching session for National Natural Science Foundation writing was held on the morning of January 29, 2026, in Room 304 of the School of Artificial Intelligence. Professor Liu Zhungda from the School of Automation and Professor You Zhuohong from the School of Computer Science were invited as coaching experts. Over ten young faculty members attended the meeting, which was chaired by Fu Wenxing, Vice Dean of the Institute.

Wenxing introduced the resumes and professional expertise of the two professors, extended a welcome and thanks for their presence, and expressed hope that faculty members would seize this opportunity to resolve difficult issues encountered during the application writing process.

During the coaching session, the two professors provided targeted guidance based on their own experiences. Liu Zhungda focused on core scientific problems, emphasizing the precise delineation of research scope and illustrating the textual expression of technical principles with examples. You Zhuohong, on the other hand, deeply analyzed technical roadmap design and innovation point identification, clarifying specific requirements for innovation points.

During the interactive Q&A session, faculty members raised questions regarding research methods, experimental data, and references. The experts patiently answered them and provided revision suggestions.

This one-on-one coaching session for National Natural Science Foundation (NSFC) proposal writing closely aligned with the actual needs of faculty research applications. It not only effectively helped faculty clarify their proposal writing ideas, identify key points and challenges, and enhance their professional writing skills, but also fostered a strong academic and research atmosphere within the college, laying a solid foundation for future NSFC project applications.
