To implement education on correct performance views and guide party members and cadres to be pragmatic, from April 2nd to 3rd, the Party Committee of the School of Artificial Intelligence / Institute of Unmanned System Technology organized a practical study tour to Hanzhong. Mao Zhaoyong (Party Secretary), Bai Junqiang (Dean), and Xu Xiaofeng (Deputy Party Secretary) led the team, joined by party branch secretaries, new faculty, new mentors, overseas returned teachers, and office staff.

On April 2nd, the study tour visited Chenggu County Museum and the former site of Guluba Northwestern Institute of Technology. At the museum, teachers recalled the arduous founding and development of Northwestern United University in Chenggu, appreciating the patriotic spirit of early scientists. At Guluba, they revisited the difficult wartime relocation of universities, inheriting the “Integrity, Sincerity, Courage, Perseverance” spirit and understanding “serving the nation through education.”

On the morning of April 3rd, the team visited AVIC Shaanxi Aircraft Industry Group Co., Ltd. for discussions on embodied intelligence, guidance and control, and electromagnetic wires. Both sides noted their strong cooperation foundation and anticipate greater breakthroughs in joint research, platform co-construction, and talent development, contributing to the high-quality development of the national aviation industry.

Afterwards, the team visited the Sichuan-Shaanxi Revolutionary Base Area Memorial Hall, reflecting on precious historical materials and relics. They learned about the Red Fourth Front Army’s campaigns and the establishment of the base, appreciating the martyrs’ noble spirit of sacrifice for national independence and liberation.

Participants stated that this activity would be an opportunity to integrate correct performance views into education, research, and career development. They committed to achieving tangible results for a strong start to the “15th Five-Year Plan” and to contribute to the university’s “1-10-100-1000” goals.
