2026.01.30

On January 28, the Institute of Unmanned Systems Technology held its 2025 annual Party Branch Secretary Performance Review and Assessment Meeting on Party Building Work. Members of the Institute’s Party Committee leadership, Party Committee members, all faculty and student Party branch secretaries, and representatives of faculty and student Party members attended. The meeting was chaired by Mao Zhaoyong, Secretary of the Institute’s Party Committee.

At the meeting, the six faculty and student Party branch secretaries of the Institute successively reported on their respective branches’ 2025 work, covering aspects such as in-depth study and implementation of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, strengthening the political and organizational functions of Party branches, implementing key tasks of grassroots Party building, conducting ideological and political education for faculty and students, implementing comprehensive strict Party governance requirements, as well as rectification of last year’s problems, existing issues, and future plans. Mao Zhaoyong commented on each Party branch’s work based on their actual situations, followed by on-site scoring.

Mao Zhaoyong stated that over the past year, all branches have dared to take responsibility, overcome difficulties, and contributed to promoting the deep integration of Party building and business, and enhancing the Institute’s core competitiveness indicators. In future work, first, we must continue to deepen the integrated development of Party building and our undertakings, giving full play to the fighting fortress role of Party branches and the vanguard and exemplary role of Party members, and planting the Party flag on the front lines of teaching and scientific research. Second, we must continue to focus on improving core competitiveness indicators. Faculty Party branches should exert more effort in major talent programs, major projects, major platforms, and major awards, while student Party branches should continue to strive in scientific and technological innovation competitions, scholarship and grant evaluations, and employment practices, leading the high-quality development of our undertakings through Party building. Third, we must continue to uphold the bottom line of discipline and conduct, firmly guarding key positions such as faculty ethics, Party conduct and integrity, ideology, and confidentiality and security, and continuously fostering a healthy, stable, positive, and enterprising atmosphere. All branches should unite their efforts and work diligently under the leadership of the Institute’s Party Committee, jointly aiming for the university’s “1-10-100-1000” medium-term goal, and contributing greater strength to achieving the long-term vision of “World-Class Northwestern Polytechnical University, Global Aerospace and Navigation.”
