To thoroughly implement the thematic education on Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, strengthen foundations, achieve practical results, and enhance the scientific paper writing skills of young teachers and students, the First Faculty Party Branch of the Institute held a thematic Party Day and “Rongyu” Lecture event on the morning of July 11, 2023. Li Mingmin, Director of the Editorial Department of Acta Aeronautica Sinica, was invited to lecture on “Writing and Submitting High-Quality Scientific Papers.” Branch members and institute students attended, and Party Branch Secretary Chang Min chaired the meeting.

Drawing on his extensive understanding and practical experience in scientific paper writing and submission, Li Mingmin lectured on writing and submitting high-quality scientific papers. He covered four key areas: the significance of writing, writing norms, precautions during submission-review-publication, and submission techniques for aerospace journals. He further elaborated on sections like the introduction, results and discussion, and supporting materials, deeply interpreting writing essentials and emphasizing the need for innovativeness, practicality, and engineering relevance.

This study deepened all Party members, teachers, and students’ understanding of scientific paper writing and submission, imparting experience and techniques, enhancing their ability to organize and summarize research findings, and laying a solid foundation for producing high-level scientific papers.

This event, meticulously planned and organized by the First Faculty Party Branch, was a complete success, greatly benefiting young teachers and students. Subsequently, the First Faculty Party Branch will continue to deepen research and conduct diverse studies related to the thematic education, effectively applying learning outcomes to scientific research, and accelerating the institute’s high-quality development through scientific and technological innovation.

Li Mingmin Profile:

Li Mingmin has long dedicated himself to the editorial management of “Acta Aeronautica Sinica” and “CJA.” He currently serves as Director of the Editorial Department of Acta Aeronautica Sinica, Deputy Director of the Youth Committee of the China Association for Science and Technology Journals, and a member of the Journal Work Committee of the Chinese Society of Aeronautics and Astronautics. He has received the First Prize in the inaugural China Science and Technology Journal Young Editor Competition, the China Science and Technology Journal Young Editor Award, and the title of Excellent Editor under the China Science and Technology Journal Excellence Action Plan. He planned and published influential special issues like “Special Issue on Large Aircraft” and “Special Issue on Advanced Fighter Aircraft,” compiled the “Graded Directory of High-Quality Scientific Journals in Aerospace,” and published over 20 papers in core journals on editorial science.
